Ricardo Ferretti de Oliveira is a former Brazilian professional soccer player of Brazilian descent and currently coach of Liga MX Tigres UANL club. He's often referred to with his nickname Tuca. Tuca was one of his first words when he was a kid, that's why he's called "El Tuca". As an attacking midfielder, Ferretti is known for his movement, straight hitting power and leadership ability. He is a free kick specialist and has spent most of his playing career with UNAM Pumas. He has also performed for Botafogo, Vasco da Gama and Bonsucesso in his native Brazil, and Atlas, Neza, Monterrey and Toluca in Mexico. As manager, he has performed three times at Tigres UANL, twice at Pumas UNAM, and also managed Toluca, Guadalajara and Monarcas Morelia. He is one of two coaches in Mexican football history to have directed 1,000 league matches, the other being Ignacio Trelles. He has also served as the interim coach of the Mexican national team twice, winning the CONCACAF Cup in 2015 .
His professional soccer playing and coaching careers are his most well-known accomplishments. He played for the Mexican Pumas UNAM club for the majority of his career as a midfielder. He retired in 1991 and went on to coach UNAM the following year.
